KAWA BRASS BAND

Parveen Sabrina Khan and Ilyas Raphaël Khan, hailing from a distinguished Indo-French musical lineage, are the children of the renowned artistic director Hameed Khan Kawa. Parveen is a leading voice of her generation, performing râgas, the melodic frameworks of Indian classical music, and maands, traditional Rajasthani folk songs that are in danger of disappearing. As one of the few guardians of maands, she is dedicated to preserving this endangered cultural heritage.
